RONE Award Nomination

Image
After a difficult week when I slipped while out walking with my lovely dogs, and broke my ankle, I had the terrific news that Gun Shy has been nominated for a RONE Award. http://amzn.to/2aVZhuJ http://amzn.to/2aKG9k2

A Double Whammy!

Image
I have two books coming out this month. So I'm going to give a little explanation.  I recently got my rights back for my Atlantic Divide Series and in the meanwhile because I'd been asked several times if Jack and Kate had a story, I wrote Gun Shy. I placed the rest of the series with Hartwood Publishing and we decided to re-edit and re-release them, re-numbering the books so they ran in right order. Gun Shy is now Book 1 and comes out 4th August together with Loving Lydia. You can get them right now with 20% if your pre-order them. (See links below) Bad Girl Bill is in the middle of being edited and will be considerably longer than the original version with a couple of additional scenes. This is due for release in September. Finding Zoe, I haven't yet looked at but will be re-editing this shortly with a view to doing what I've done with Bad Girl Bill. Mac is certainly one of my all-time favourite heroes, specifically because of his human failings...

A Fabulous Five-Star Review

Image
I'm simply bowled over by the first review that has come in for Barbara's Redemption. Not only Five-Star, but the reader "gets" the story on so many levels. I'm thrilled with this, you can see it on Amazon and Goodreads http://amzn.to/209tZm8 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30229711-barbara-s-redemption

On Offer Until the End of the Week

I may not have mentioned that right now I'm in the middle of writing the second book in this series. If Love had Wings is the story of Daniel, the Archangel who is Matt's Agent, and Roni, Ginny's best friend. I promise there are more fireworks ahead in this book and more history between these two than you can imagine. Here's a little snippet to give you a hint of what's to come. Bright neon lights cut through the darkness. The man she’d avoided stood right by the doorway, arms crossed over his broad chest as though he was waiting for someone. He turned his fierce gaze on her. Waiting for her. He’d disposed of his suit jacket, tugged his pink tie loose and rolled up the sleeves of his shirt to expose his muscled forearms. An ethereal glow bounced from his white cotton shirt and in the violet incandescence, a halo shimmered over his blond head. The breath caught in her throat as memories pushed into her mind and stabbed another sharp pain into her hea...

HIDING FROM STORM GERTRUDE?

Image
Short Circuit Time by Diane Saxon In the year 2086, Zaphira is alone, the last survivor of biological warfare on Earth. Before he died, her scientist father promised other survivors would come. Nobody has. So when a horribly mangled android shows up claiming to be her father’s assistant, Aiden, who has been sent through time to rescue her, she’s both frightened and astounded. The last time she’d seen Aiden, she’d been sixteen, head-over-heels in love with him and had literally thrown herself at him, leaving her devastated by his rejection and him running for the hills. The following day, she’d been told of his death. Eight years later he’s miraculously back, this time asking for her help. Without it, he won’t survive. But can she really put a dead man back together with tweezers? For Aiden, everything has changed. There are no other humans, no government, and time travel has left his new android body unexpectedly weak and suffering from inexplicable genetic changes in eye...

The Passage of Time

Image
As time races on, I don't feel any older, but for the fact that when I look at my children, and my animals, they seem to be maturing far faster than I'd like, which means that I too am ageing. (We'll not speak of my maturity as I'm quite sure there's still a distinct lack of it.) I'd only just had Beau for my birthday when I wrote For Heaven's Cakes and gave my hero in that story the same name as my new pup - and look at the boy now. How he's grown. Beau in reality is not so far removed from Beau in my imagination. I used a number of features, including the big paws, the soft brown eyes and the wet smell of dog in For Heaven's Cakes. Yes, he's a shapeshifter, but not a dog, a wolf. Blurb Twelve years of living in Ireland smoothed Beau’s rough edges, and hard work as a construction worker made him a wealthy man. The call of his pack is stronger than he can resist though, and he isn’t averse to returning to show his small h...

The Simple Things in Life...

Image
Okay, well this may not appear simple. It is the sweetest little building that Skye, Beau and I came across this morning on our 7.00am walk. The little front door is probably less than 3 foot high. I've never come across it before and yet I've walked the paths around Haughmond Hill for years. I just happened to step off the beaten track, which I frequently do, but this was a path I'd never been up before. There it was. Simple What is also simple, yet slightly strange is the story I'm currently writing is a paranormal. A story of witchcraft and ancient times brought into the modern day. Quite often when I'm writing a new manuscript simple things will happen, little incidents to trigger whole scenes. I'm going for a scene with this little gem and I'll let you know how it turns out. In the meantime, here's something from Banshee Seduction. This was another scene inspired by something so simple as a lady called Mandy who works in Laura Ashley...

***NEW RELEASE*** Banshee Seduction, Montgomery's Sin, Book 1

Image
Blurb Sweet, shy librarian Ginny has a problem. Whenever passion strikes, so do the weeping, wailing voices in her head. Being half banshee, she’s already run screaming from the underworld and her female relatives, believing love will find a way with patience and faith on planet Earth. The trouble is, humans just aren’t man enough, and every time Ginny shows interest in a male, she makes him bleed. It’s going to take more than just a simple human being to get past Ginny’s defenses. Matthew, “The Dane,” fullback for the New York Chameleons, knows the moment he meets the little fireball that she’s his mate. For two hundred years he and his dragon have waited for a female capable of setting their world on fire. Problem is, he doesn’t seem to be able to stop her from going up in flames long enough to prove he’s more than man enough for her screaming banshee. Will Matt ever be able to convince Ginny she’s his mate? And will Ginny get Matt alone long enough to let him ap...

BANSHEE SEDUCTION - MONTGOMERY'S SIN, BOOK 1

She squeezed it past her hips and persuaded it over her breasts inch by inch until she realized she’d forgotten to breathe and puffed out a noisy gasp. She waited for a moment, hitching in small drafts of air, and hoped the dress wouldn’t split its seams while she tried to bend at the waist to pick up the pair of shoes she had placed on the floor. She collapsed onto her bed, flat out, and wished she’d not eaten at all, never mind consuming a full plate of spaghetti and meatballs. She rubbed her belly. Sweet howling banshees, she’d probably damaged a kidney…and h...
